Frequently asked questions

Q. Will I have the same carer all the time?
A. We can guarantee that you’ll always have the same primary carer as we realise how important continuity is to our clients. Anytime your carer is unable to attend, for example because of illness or holidays, we will let you know as soon as possible. If there is any change to your carer you will be fully involved in the process.

Q. How do you hire your carers?
A. We are always looking for new people to join our team and our website makes it easy for carers to apply.  We will only hire those who are properly qualified and who we consider passionate enough to join our team.  Before anyone is allowed to provide care on their own they must complete an induction course followed by a period of supervised work; ensuring our clients are only cared for by the best carers possible.

Q. What happens if I don’t like my carer?
A. Our aim is to pick the right carers for the right clients but if you find you are not happy with the choice we make just let us know.

Q. What if there is a day when I do not need my carer to come?
All we ask is that you let us know 24 hours in advance.

Q. What if I want to change the time my carer comes?
Please let us know as soon as possible, however we ca not guarantee you will get your usual carer.

Q. What if I only need help for a short amount of time or infrequently?
Whether you are recovering from an operation and only need help for a few weeks or require more permanent care we are able to provide both short and long-term home care contracts.

Q. How much will my care cost?
A. Given the wide-range of needs we cater to it is impossible to give a set range of prices, so if you are interested please contact us to discuss your individual needs and give you a quote.

Q. How much notice do I need to give if I no longer need my carer?
A. While we ask for 14 days' notice we do understand that, sometimes, due to circumstance this may not be possible. Please contact us as soon as you can to discuss your change of circumstance.

Q. I’m interested in working for HomeLife Carers, how can I apply?
